Both the 1984 and 1985 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernets look to be, along with the 1982, Dunn's finest wines to date. The 1985 is more tannic and tastes slightly higher in acidity than the more opulent 1984, but the extraction of fruit and purity of flavor is mind-blowing. It should merit a score between 94-96 when released in January, 1989.
